2025 Autumn Cycle: Enrolment is now open!

Group calligraphy classes resume in September 2025. Every Saturday morning or Thurday evening for 10 weeks, come and learn the art of Arabic calligraphy at the workshop.

GROUPE COURSES

We offer group courses in Arabic calligraphy at the workshop.

The courses are organised in 10-week cycles, with 2 hours of classes per week, every Saturday morning (10am-12pm). Classes are held in Mahmoud Mostafa’s workshop at Mairie d’Aubervilliers (metro 12 – exact address given on enrolment).

You will learn calligraphy in small groups of 4 to 6 people.

All materials are provided. Calamus, ink, and paper will be provided for the first lesson, so you can practice calligraphy with complete peace of mind.

Group lessons: €250 / 20 hours of lessons in a small group

Course on Saturday, from 10h to 12h. The beginning of the course on Saturday, 13th of september 2025 (13/09 ; 20/09 ; 27/09 ; 04/10 ; 11/10 ; 18/10 ; 25/10 ; 01/11 ; 08/11 ; 15/11)

Course on Thursday, from 18h30 to 20h30. The beginning of the course on Thursday, 11th of september 2025 (11/09 ; 18/09 ; 25/09 ; 02/10 ; 09/10 ;16/10 ; 23/10 ; 30/10 ; 6/11 ; 13/11)

INDIVIDUAL PRIVATE LESSONS

Mahmoud Mostafa welcomes his students for private lessons at his studio.

If you already have a background in calligraphy and would like to improve your skills in one of the styles (thuluth, naskh, diwani) or if you would like to learn calligraphy one-to-one with your teacher, this format is best suited to you.

Mahmoud Mostafa will be happy to welcome you to his studio, according to your availability. Don’t hesitate to write to us to discuss your requirements.

Private lessons: €50 / 2 hours of one-to-one tuition
